1. Join the Affiliate Summit Advisory Board
Affiliate Summit is organizing an advisory board of a representative group of people in the affiliate marketing industry.
The purpose of this group is to collect candid feedback on aspects of the conference, including types of sessions to hold, content to cover, speakers to feature, etc.
Members of the Affiliate Summit Advisory Board will be required to actively participate in a private discussion list, as well as occasional conference calls.
In return, members of the Advisory Board will receive a free pass to the Affiliate Summit conference. This pass is not transferable.

2. Gaming Affiliate Programs Go Mainstream
Affiliate marketing is a gamble. That's no secret to affiliates rolling the dice every day on new offers and campaigns. Lately, affiliates that generally promote mainstream programs have begun trying their luck with gaming affiliate programs.
This shift from traditional programs to promoting the likes of casino and poker affiliate programs is not accidental. The gaming companies have engaged in outreach via conferences, magazines and other sources to lure affiliates.
The affiliates already promoting the gaming sites are in high demand, and their real estate is pretty much maxed out.

3. Location of Affiliate Summit 2007 East Survey
We are starting up plans for the Affiliate Summit 2007 East conference, which will take place next summer.
Please let us know your preference on where Affiliate Summit will take place.
The cities up for consideration are:
- Atlanta
- Baltimore
- Boston
- Miami (South Beach)
- New York City
- Orlando
- Philadelphia
- Toronto
- Washington, DC
We would also like to know how much you are willing and able to pay per night for a hotel room. In the past, the average maximum has been $150/night.
The reason we are asking is that many folks have said they would like to go to NYC in the past, but rooms at a hotel that can host a conference are generally going to be $300 or so per night in New York.

5. Ask Shawn Collins: Affiliate Program Innovations
What do you feel is the most innovative technology solution for affiliates?
The answer to this question will be different from week to week or month to month as new things emerge in the affiliate marketing space.
Also, it depends on your technology know-how. As far as newbies, I would say the various tools that simplify the display of data feeds are useful. These include DataFeedFile.com, FeedShare, GoldenCAN, and Product Showcase Creator.
And then for those affiliates that get Web Services, I'd say Amazon is a good example of Affiliate 2.0 with Amazon Web Services.
