1. Affiliate Summit Early Bird Pricing Ends December 21, 2007
Registration fees for Affiliate Summit will be increasing at the conclusion of the Early Bird period on December 21, 2007.
Through December 21, 2007, a full conference pass is $949. Starting December 22, the cost will rise to $1,449. Exhibit hall-only passes, currently at $99, will become $199 after the Early Bird deadline.
Pricing for an Affiliate Meet Market table sponsorship will be increasing after December 21, 2007, too. Tables with an Exhibitor Hall Pass are available now for a rate of $1,095, and tables with a Full Conference Pass are $1,995.
After the Early Bird deadline, fees will increase to $1,295 and $2,495 respectively. Affiliate Meet Market details are available at http://www.affiliatesummit.com/08w_exhibitors.php.

2. Affiliates Can Use WeViews.tv Video
The content at WeViews.tv is available to any affiliates who wish to use it. Over the past few months, we’ve been creating video reviews of popular products and services.
Some hot gift ideas that you might want to promote and supplement with WeViews.tv videos:
There are a variety of video sites where you can grab the video embed code to use WeViews.tv videos, including blip.tv, Revver, and YouTube.

3. Affiliate Marketer Shawn Collins is Retiring
I hereby retire from being an affiliate manager. Live press conference right now.
It was back in the fall of 1997 that I first got into managing affiliate programs for a company called Medsite.com.
They had a site called MedBookStore.com, which specialized in textbooks for medical students.
Anyhow, I managed affiliate programs as an employee or consultant from back then straight through November 30, 2007.
But now it's time to focus on other things.

5. Help the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation
Many folks who have attended Affiliate Summit know that we have made a priority to bring together the industry in support to worthy causes.
Well, with Affiliate Summit 2008 West, taking place February 24-26, 2008 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, we will include sponsorships and activities to generate donations from the affiliate marketing community to the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation.
Past charity partnerships with Affiliate Summit include Big Brothers Big Sisters, March of Dimes, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
There will be auctions for conference sponsorships with 100 percent of funds received going to the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, as well as attendees being encouraged to make donations on behalf of their companies or themselves.

Affiliate Summit will be matching up to $5,000 in donations.

6. Affiliate Network Overviews
There is an interesting series on affiliate networks by Angel Djambazov, Marketing and Business Development Manager for PopShops, over at ReveNews.
As part of the ReveNews 2008 Affiliate Network Preview Series, he interviewed representatives from CJ, LinkShare, Performics, and ShareASale to get a sense of their plans and goals for 2008.
