1. New Affiliate Network Launches: pepperjamNETWORK
Internet marketing agency Pepperjam has announced the launch of pepperjamNETWORK, a new affiliate network.
 The pepperjamNETWORK interface is intuitive and stocked with a laundry list of features that should be exciting to affiliates and merchants, such as a Transparency Rating and real-time communication with Pepperjam Chat.
Here are some highlights of the network:
- Affiliates and merchants can communicate in real-time via Pepperjam Chat.
- Transparency on both the affiliate and merchant sides.
- SID-level tracking and reporting.
- pepperjamADS, a widget that affiliates can use to serve customized contextual ads from multiple Pepperjam Network advertisers at the same time.
- Knowledge vault featuring a list of tools and educational resources used by Super Affiliates.
- Over 100 merchants out of the gate, including BabyPhat, Blockbuster, Jelly Belly, Oscar de la Renta, Rocawear, and SEOmoz Premium.

2. Affiliate Fatblogging, Episode 9
I’ve got some good news to report today. I’m still doing the Weight Watchers core plan, and I’ve lost another two pounds in the last week. That brings me down to 203.
I started at 216, so I’m very happy with the progress so far.
Just eight pounds to go, and I have until the first day of Affiliate Summit, which kicks off February 24 in Las Vegas.
Anyhow, I’d like to share why I do the affiliate fatblogging thing. One core component to this is that I want to be around and healthy for my family for a very long time.
But also, I don’t want to be like my dad, Gary Collins. Now, I strive to be like him in many ways, but one thing I definitely don’t want to emulate is how he got increasingly big with age and died at 61.
Today would have been his 67th birthday.
I created something of a tribute to him, as I channel the 90’s group D.R.S. for a rendition of Gangsta Lean.
By the way, there are some folks talking about getting together for morning walks in Vegas during Affiliate Summit. Stay tuned for more details.

3. Start Your Engines for the Great Affiliate Road Rally
The Great Affiliate Road Rally, taking place Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, is a remote control car race open to all attendees at Affiliate Summit 2008 West.
The driver of the first car to cross the finish line for the Great Affiliate Road Rally will be awarded a 10' x 10' exhibit hall booth (value: $4,995) for Affiliate Summit 2008 East in Boston, taking place August 10-12, 2008.
And yes, the booth is transferable, so the winner can sell it at whatever cost they wish.
The entry fee is $100, which is a donation made directly to the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation.

5. Google AdSense: King Maker and Dragon Slayer
MarketingVOX is reporting that Google booted IncrediMail from AdSense without explanation.
IncrediMail creates software allowing clients to customize emails and had been generating revenue by placing AdSense ads within those emails. Indeed, earnings from AdSense ads are reported to have contributed greatly to the company’s revenue.
Neither Google nor IncrediMail has commented on the move. Google simply issued a statement confirming that it had disabled IncrediMail’s AdSense account.
Subsequently, IncrediMail’s stock dropped by 40% when the announcement of their termination from AdSense came out, according to TechCrunch.
What should you learn from this? It’s time to diversify… NOW. There are tons of affiliate programs out there, so don’t sabotage yourself by focusing on a single revenue stream.
6. Cory Booker to Keynote Affiliate Summit 2008 East
The keynote speaker for Affiliate Summit 2008 East, taking place August 10-12, 2008 in Boston, will be Cory Booker.
Cory Booker is the current Mayor of Newark, NJ and he was the subject of the Academy-Award-nominated documentary Street Fight, which detailed his 2002 campaign.
