1. Affiliate Summit West '08 Video Contest
If you're looking for a free, full conference pass to Affiliate Summit, taking place February 24-26, 2008 in Las Vegas, there is a limited time opportunity to try and win one. Just create a video with the theme, "Why I want to go to Affiliate Summit."

Some ground rules for getting the free Affiliate Summit pass (value: $949):

1. Upload your video to YouTube with Affiliate Summit in the title, description and tags.
2. Video must include the name (Affiliate Summit), dates (February 24-26, 2008), location (Las Vegas), URL (http://www.affiliatesummit.com), and why you want to go to the conference.
3. Minimum of 30 seconds and maximum of 60 seconds in length.
4. No copyrighted material can be included

Submitted Affiliate Summit commercials will be reviewed by the Affiliate Summit Advisory Board for compliance to the ground rules, production quality, and originality.

Only videos deemed accepted by the Affiliate Summit Advisory Board will be given an Affiliate Summit pass. All decisions are final. There is no limit on the number of passes to be given out in this competition.

The full conference pass to Affiliate Summit is compensation for accepted videos. There will be no other monetary compensation or compensation in kind other than the complimentary pass.

Submitted videos become property of Affiliate Summit. All entries must be made by December 7, 2007. Winning videos will be posted on the Affiliate Summit blog.

After you upload your video to YouTube, contact us with the URL at YouTube to view the video.

All winners will be notified by December 14, 2007.

Each day I perform an extensive examination of Google’s algorithm. And I do all kinds of complicated formulas for keyword density. It’s really something of a science.

5. Ticketmaster Launches Beta Affiliate Program with buy at, Inc
Wow - I just stumbled across some BIG news on the buy at, Inc forum at ABestWeb: Ticketmaster chooses buy at, Inc - Beta affiliate program launch!

buy at, Inc., a subsidiary of UK-based Perfiliate Technologies Ltd, is a recent entry into the U.S. affiliate network race.

The company soft launched in the U.S. in March 2007, and their full launch will be on Dec 1, 2007 with an office on Wall Street in New York City.

“buy at will be running this program exclusively for Ticketmaster so if your already an affiliate with buy at then just log into your account and apply from there.

Andy Rodriguez and his team will be handling things day to day along with members of buy at and Ticketmaster depending on the enquiry, so you can look forward to the very best support from people you can trust.”

According to the Hitwise Retail 100 Index, a list of the top 100 shopping websites based on US Internet usage, for the week ending November 3, 2007, Ticketmaster was the #17 shopping site.

Ticketmaster has slightly less market share than the likes of powerhouse online retailers like Dell, Circuit City and Sears, and more market share than Home Depot, Lowes, and eBay Express, according to the Hitwise Retail 100 Index.

I’d imagine there is some hand wringing in the board rooms of the other U.S. affiliate networks right about now.
