1. Submit Nominations for Affiliate Summit Awards
Affiliate Summit is accepting nominations through October 31, 2006 for the Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Awards.
These awards recognize exceptional performance in affiliate marketing.
The Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Awards will be presented at Affiliate Summit 2007 West on the evening of Monday, January 22, 2007.
The categories for the Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Awards are listed below:
- Affiliate of the Year
- Affiliate Manager of the Year
- Exceptional Merchant
- Affiliate Marketing Advocate
- Best Blogger
- Affiliate Marketing Legend

2. Affiliate Managers: Take the AffStat 2007 Survey
Data for the AffStat 2007 Report is now being collected. The AffStat survey covers the overall statistics for affiliate programs, as well as a number of issues that face affiliate managers.
 Affiliate managers that complete the survey will receive a full copy of the AffStat 2007 Report in early 2007.
Areas covered in the survey included affiliate networks, staffing, affiliate recruiting, and management.
The survey questions are broken out by affiliate program type: bounty, pay per lead, and pay per sale.
The AffStat 2007 survey also includes a section where affiliates managers can sound off in their own words on a variety of industry issues.

3. Podcast of ShoeMoney and Shawn Collins
I was on Jeremy Schoemaker's (aka ShoeMoney) show on WebmasterRadio.FM on October 10 and it's now available as a podcast.

5. Get Your Own Blog from Affiliate Summit
If you'd like to start a blog to share your opinions about Internet marketing, you can now easily create a blog at the Affiliate Summit Social Network site.

6. Affiliate Tip - Spying with Google
GoogSpy, one of my favorite tools, has been rebranded with lots of enhancements. The free, Web-based tool for competitor research is now SpyFu.
Velocityscape launched GoogSpy.com in April 2005 to enable people to sleuth out the keywords their competitors were buying on Google AdWords.
That functionality is very useful for me, as an affiliate manager, to monitor trademarks and discover the keywords affiliates are bidding on.
It is also great for affiliates to see what their competitors are bidding on. Huge time saver for gathering competitive intelligence.
